This instrument is a specialized device designed in accordance with the Ministry of Transport’s T0349-2005 standard (Methylene Blue Test for Fine Aggregates). It employs advanced frequency modulation and numerical control technologies to enhance testing accuracy and efficiency, making it an essential laboratory tool. The method is applicable for detecting the presence of expansive clay minerals in fine aggregates and determining their content to evaluate aggregate cleanliness, with results expressed as the methylene blue value (MBV).
When the passing rate of 0.075mm in fine aggregate is less than 3%, this test can be omitted and regarded as qualified.
